1. The Game
Wizard V.I.P. PLAYOFF POOL ‘18 (the “Contest”) is an on-line, free to enter game, designed to test one’s own prognostication skills when it comes to predicting the performance of various hockey players on various teams in various rounds during the 2018 hockey Playoffs. From all eligible entries received, winners will be determined based on their ability to use their skill and knowledge of hockey teams, players and related rules to accumulate the most Fantasy Points (“FPs”) in accordance with the Scoring System as described below and these Official Rules. The Contest will coincide with the 2018 hockey playoffs beginning with the scheduled start time of the first game of the 2018 hockey playoffs as posted on the site and consisting of four (4) playoff rounds (each a “Playoff Round”) ending at the conclusion of the final Playoff Round (the “Overall Contest Period”). Wizard V.I.P. PLAYOFF POOL ‘18 is presented by The Wizard Foundation and administered by Fantasy Sports Services Inc. (the “Contest Administrator”).
The Contest is open only to invited guests of The Wizard Foundation and Special Olympics Ontario.
3. How to Enter
Please register for the Contest by going to: wizardfoundation.com and then click on VIP Pool. Obtain a Fantasy Sports Services Username and Password (“Login ID”) and submit your “Roster” of players and team selections (“Picks”). Keep a record of your Login ID to return to the web site to edit and submit your selections prior to any given deadline, check contest Standings and view the Contest rules.
IMPORTANT: One (1) REGISTRATION PER PERSON AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESS. Any additional registrations under the same name and/or email address will not be eligible for prizes.
Deadlines for Picks: Once a deadline for a given round has passed, you may be able to enter, edit and submit your picks, however these picks will NOT take effect until the next eligible deadline. Therefore if you submit your initial picks, OR submit edits to your picks, after a given Round entry deadline, then these picks, or edits to your picks, will NOT start accumulating fantasy points until the next Round deadline.
Registration and Picks must be submitted and confirmed by the posted deadline on the Picks Page. The last picks submitted and confirmed prior to Round 1 Deadline will be your active roster for Round 1.
Overall Entry Deadline:
As long as you submit picks prior to any given Round deadline you will be listed in the Overall Standings, however you will only accumulate fantasy points for the Round or Rounds you successfully submitted picks prior to the given Round deadline.
4. How to Play
The objective of Wizard V.I.P. PLAYOFF POOL ‘18 is to accumulate the most number of Fantasy Points (FPs) based upon the contest Scoring System (see Scoring System below) and in accordance with these Official Rules.
You will pick a roster of sixteen (16) players/teams. You MUST pick one and only one PLAYER/TEAM from each of the sixteen (16) lists we provide. To pick a player/team, select the player/team you wish to choose in each given list of players/teams. Your roster must consist of the following players:
Eastern Conference Skaters Seven (7)
Western Conference Skaters Seven (7)
* Eastern Conference Goaltenders (team selection) One (1)
* Western Conference Goaltenders (team selection) One (1)
* With respect to Goaltenders, you are selecting a TEAM not an individual player. You will receive Fantasy Points (FPs) for all statistics earned by that goaltending team as long as it remains on your active roster regardless of who plays in goal for that team.
You can change your Picks as often as you want prior to the deadline for a given Playoff Round deadline (See Deadlines for Picks in Section 3). The last Picks you submit and are confirmed prior to a given Round deadline will remain effective for the remainder of that given Round and will be your active roster for that given Round. Your Picks on your active roster for a given Round will accumulate fantasy points based on statistics they accumulate during that given Round and will count towards your given Round score.
Your Overall score will be the cumulative fantasy point total from your Round 1, Round 2 and Rounds 3 / 4 scores.
5. Scoring System
